Has Your Skin Had Its Mesotherapy Cocktail?
“What is Mesotherapy?” is something I get asked by clients most days. It may not be that widely known, yet it’s one of my favourite facial treatments to give as it has instant wow factor when clients look in the mirror afterwards.
Mesotherapy, I must press, is completely non-invasive with no downtime. It does, however involve a needle being bounced over the skin’s surface. The syringe contains a cocktail of nourishing extracts and as the needle does its bouncing, the deeper layers of the epidermis are impregnated with the cocktail to nourish and enhance from within. There are devices around with the needle built in, but I prefer to do it by hand to make the treatment more bespoke and accurate.
The ‘syringe cocktail’ contains extracts rich in Hyalauronic acid, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, enzymes and proteins, so it really is like purging your skin with a super food drink. Not only that, but the microscopic needle wounds spark a series of reactions, causing skin to create fresh, new collagen so the results are long lasting.
In my practice, I often combine mesotherapy with a facial fruit peel for clients, so that their skin is deeply cleansed and exfoliated as well. I make all of my own mesotherapy serums using natural and organic plant and flower extracts, and in this way each individual treatment can be tailored. Hyperpigmentation and melasma, aging, loss of tone and scarring on the face can all be treated with a course of mesotherapy, and it can be used on other areas of the body too, such as the hands, stomach and thighs.
